The Standard Chess Set is the smallest in our range of Giant Garden Chess sets and is really designed for those who love the idea of the giant chess but frankly just don’t have the space or the inclination to have a chess set of that size in the garden. This smaller chess set is by no means tiny; the plastic mat that the set includes is 1.2m square and the chessmen themselves vary in size from 20cm (pawn) to 25cm (king) in height with a base diameter of 9.5cm.
The chess pieces are blow moulded plastic and come in one section and are simply ready to be taken out of the box, which features a handy carry handle, placed on the mat and the game can begin.
This smaller version of giant chess is a great way to encourage children into this fantastic game of strategy skill and patience.
